So let’s talk a little bit about smile makeovers what they are and how those are achieved. So a smile makeover is anything done in dentistry to enhance your smile. It can be putting in tooth colored fillings. It could be putting in veneers. It could be doing crown and Bridge. People come to us for smile makeovers because of the incredible job we do and the partnership that we have with our cosmetic dental lab micro Dental in California. We partner with them through a technique that we have enhanced to provide unbelievable smile makeovers, so a typical smile makeover goes like this. You’re unhappy with your smile for some reason. You come in we have a consultation just like we’re talking now, and I like to have the patient do more of the talking than me do the talking. I want to know what their wants are what their needs are what their concerns are what maybe is their hesitations are what’s kept them from seeking treatment. For some reason once we get past those barriers, and we can take those barriers down so that the patient is completely comfortable having their smile redone. Then we decide how many teeth are going to be done. In the smile makeover it can be two teeth, it can be six teeth, it can be 12 14 teeth most of our smile makeovers are between 8 and 12 teeth. The procedure then goes like this. We will make an intal scan or impression of the mouth that will be sent to microdental. They will do a virtual mockup they call a wax up. They will return that wax up for us and that will be a copy of the enhanced smile, so the patient can have something physical in their hand that they’re looking at and say okay. I see now what my smile could look like we let the patient examine this. If they want to make any changes we make those changes at that point, and then we schedule the patient for the treatment. When treatment day comes whether we’re doing sedation or non sedation it’s going to be just like your typical dental appointment where you’re give some anesthetic your teeth are put to sleep you’re put to sleep if you need to be sedated, and then we begin the process of making the modifications to the teeth once the teeth are modified we have a way of transferring the mockup to the patient’s mouth so that they can then see what the actual smile makeup is going to look like that way we’re consistent throughout the process we consistent from the mockup to the Temporaries to the final that way the patient knows at each step that getting exactly the same thing there’s no difference from beginning to end, so the patient sees exactly what the smile looks like before we start they know what it’s going to look like when we end, so we’re consistent the whole way through usually it takes 3 weeks to get the Restorations back which is amazing to me when you think of you’re taking someone at this point and 3 weeks later you’ve got a completely functional beautiful white enhanced smile it’s just amazing technique that we partner with micro dental and the results we get are phenomenal.
