teeth in a day Explained
Now let’s talk on um a procedure that we do called teeth in a day. We have people that come to us, and rightly so they don’t want to be walking around without teeth. Waiting on implants to be placed. So there’s a procedure now uh with the company that we partner with. Where we provide what we call teeth in a day. Again, it all begins just like anything in implants, with the comb beam and the in scan. We’ll take that and we send that to a company and that company will fabricate a three part surgical guide for us. One part is that goes in their mouth for us to remove teeth. Second part goes on top of that for us to remove bone. The third part of the guide goes on top of that for us to place the implants. By doing it this way, then we can have a pre manufactured temporary bridge that we can insert that day so the people actually come in with loose teeth missing teeth we’ll put them to sleep this is a sedation process only put them to sleep sedate them take out their teeth recontour the bone put their implants in and put their Bridge work on that day so they walk out of here with what’s going to be permanent Bridge work for them for 3 to 6 months then we bring them back and finalize their Bridge work after that so it’s a pretty phenomenal thing in my mind that I can take some one with failing dentition that everyone is given up on and everyone says we can’t help they come to us we help them and they walk out that day with fully functioning Arch or two arches of complete.
THE PROCESS
For qualifying patients to receive convenient and efficient same day dental implants. It will be necessary to address any preexisting decay and periodontal disease. It may also be necessary to perform a sinus lift or bone graft if the jaw has begun to decay and can no longer support the implants. If preliminary procedure are needed, you will need to wait until your gums fully heal before undergoing dental implants treatment.
During treatment, we can design a custom healing prosthetic, taking into account the shape of your bite, in addition to the shade of adjacent teeth. This device is designed to be worn throughout the three to six month recovery period known as osseointegration. After implant surgery, Dr. Fincher can fasten your restoration in place, ensuring it fits comfortably and securely in your smile. We use only the highest quality, titanium reinforced material, for natural-looking, realistic results.

SAME DAY TEETH® AFTERCARE
Aftercare of teeth in a day procedure post-procedural pain, swelling, and complications can be minimized or avoided if the following instructions are closely followed.
- Place ice packs on the area where surgery occurred for twenty minutes at a time to control swelling.
- Avoid spitting, rinsing, or using a straw for the first 24 hours minimum.
- Avoid tobacco products and alcohol, as both can slow the healing process.
- Post-procedural pain typically develops once the anesthetic wears off. Once you begin to feel discomfort or pain, take Over the Counter (OTC) or prescription medication as directed.
- You may experience tooth sensitivity to cold/hot temperatures, but this should go away as the healing process progresses.
- Follow a soft food diet for at least two weeks or longer if directed as part of your aftercare instructions. As the healing process progresses, you can slowly begin to reintroduce harder foods.
- If possible, limit intense physical activity for the first three days, but most importantly following surgery.
