Dental Implants
Description
Dr. Todd Fincher and his team have undergone extensive training to place dental implants. Dental implants are used to replace missing tooth roots and support restorations. We perform dental implant treatment from start to finish in our office. Dental implants are a titanium screw that’s placed in the bone to hold something in the patient’s mouth. Think of them more like a screw that your orthopedic may use to mend a broken bone or to fix a joint or fix a foot or fix a hand. Dental implants are used in two situations. Either to replace a missing tooth or to hook bridgework to, which would be one instance.
The second would be to be used in case a patient is having a tooth extracted and wants immediate placement of that tooth back in their mouth. People of all ages seek dental implants, and unfortunately it is the older generation because of the lack of dentistry they received earlier in their lives that require more implants. Usually the younger, the healthier the patient, they’re your best candidates. We have gone to the time, made the effort, gotten the knowledge to do all of these procedures ourselves where our patients don’t have to travel, they come to us. We can take care of all of their dental needs and get them to the best oral health that they can get to.
